What is Glucovance used for?

GLUCOVANCE is used to control blood glucose levels (the amount of sugar in the blood) in adults with type II diabetes mellitus. This type of diabetes is also known as non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM) or maturity onset diabetes.

What are the side effects of Glucovance?

Glucovance contains metoformin along with another medication, glyburide. Side effects of Metformin and Glucovance that are similar include nausea, vomiting, gas, diarrhea, decreased appetite, low blood glucose, and heartburn.

Is Glucovance a glyburide or metformin?

Glucovance contains a combination of glyburide and metformin. Glyburide and metformin are both oral diabetes medicines that help control blood sugar levels. Glucovance is used together with diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes. Glucovance is not for treating type 1 diabetes.

GLUCOVANCE 1.25 mg/250 mg tablet is a pale yellow, capsule-shaped, bevel-edged, biconvex, film-coated tablet with “ BMS ” debossed on one side and “ 6072 ” debossed on the opposite side.
