How long does Novolin N last?
Novolin® N is an intermediate-acting insulin. The effects of Novolin® N start working 11⁄2 hours after injection. The greatest blood sugar lowering effect is between 4 and 12 hours after the injection. This blood sugar lowering may last up to 24 hours.
How do I use Novolin N?
Use the medicine exactly as directed. Novolin N is injected under the skin. A healthcare provider can teach you how to properly use the medication by yourself. Novolin N must not be given with an insulin pump, or mixed with other insulins. Do not inject into a vein or a muscle.
