Ultimately, the "better" technology comes down to your individual needs and preferences as a patient. Those with highly variable glucose levels or a history of severe hypoglycemia may benefit most from the advanced alerts and round-the-clock data of a CGM system. Others who tend to have more stable blood sugars may find that FGM provides sufficient insights without the additional complexity.
