How does the ABC system work?

In the ABC system, a computer detects body movement from sensors located throughout the vehicle, and controls the action of the active suspension with the use of hydraulic servomechanisms. The hydraulic pressure to the servos is supplied by a high pressure radial piston hydraulic pump, operating at 3,000psi.

Are ABC pumps a superfamily?

ABC pumps constitute a large, diverse and ubiquitous superfamily. Most ABC genes encode membrane-bound proteins that participate directly in the transport of a wide range of molecules across membranes [ 4 ].

Where is the ABC pump bolt located?

One is under the bracket shown in the pic, the other is at the other end of the bar and bolts into the engine block by the exhaust manifold. To access the ABC pump bolt, use a short extension beneath the bracket pointing towards the front of the car. To access the engine block bolt, best access is from beneath, between the AC unit and the engine.

How much does it cost to replace an ABC pump?

A replacement pump costs between $1200 and $1500 at the dealership. At independent repair shops, replacement costs can range from $800-$1200. The DIY cost to replace the ABC pump is between $450 and $600. It is possible to purchase rebuilt ABC pumps. ABC rebuilt kits are also available if you repair your ABC pump.
