Apidra is used to improve blood sugar control in adults and children with diabetes mellitus. Apidra is used to treat type 1 or type 2 diabetes in adults, and type 1 diabetes children who are at least 4 years old. Apidra is a fast-acting insulin that begins to work very quickly.

What is Apidra insulin glulisine?

Apidra is the brand name for Insulin Glulisine 100 units/mL which is a rapid acting type of insulin. It can be taken just before (0-15 minutes) or soon after a meal to help regulate sugar (glucose) levels in the body for people with either Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes.
